The North Coast Region (NCR) Youth Environment Council (YEC) has been in operation in its current form since 2005.
With 2010 as the Year of Learning for Sustainability, the NCR YEC is set to reach new levels in youth involvement in sustainability, youth leadership development and school sustainable practice.
Forming and supporting a YEC has been mandated in the NCR regional planning document. This is an exciting opportunity for students and teachers efforts to be celebrated in a regional context.
